Platina is a premium grade of Assam chai leaves, sold as whole CTC pellets for people who want more from a daily cup of milk chai. The leaf is sourced from select Assam estates where the bushes grow at good altitude and are picked at peak flush, which gives a bolder, more aromatic chai than the standard CTC sold loose in most Indian markets.
What makes Platina truly distinctive is the subtle infusion of natural saffron notes. Saffron, one of the world's most precious spices, adds a delicate warmth and an unmistakably luxurious character to the brew. How to Brew: Add 1 tsp (3g) to 150ml water. Bring to a boil, add 100ml milk. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, strain and serve. For saffron notes to shine, use full-cream milk.
