Saffron White Tea
About This Tea
Saffron White Tea by Brew Your Sip is the most luxurious tea in our collection — and one of the rarest combinations in the Indian tea market. It pairs hand-picked white tea leaves, the least-processed and highest antioxidant tea on earth, with genuine saffron threads sourced from the saffron fields of Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Together, they create a tea of extraordinary elegance: a soft golden liquor, a delicate floral-honeyed aroma, and a smooth, warming finish that lingers long after the cup is empty.
White tea is made from the youngest buds and leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, withered gently and dried with minimal processing. This preserves the highest natural concentration of polyphenols, EGCG antioxidants, and amino acids — making it the healthiest tea category by antioxidant content. Saffron adds its own formidable benefits: known in Ayurveda as a skin brightener, mood stabiliser, and sleep promoter, saffron’s active compounds (crocin and safranal) complement white tea’s natural calming qualities.
This is a tea for evenings, for mindful moments, for gifting. Brew it at a lower temperature to protect the delicate leaf compounds, and serve without milk to let the saffron threads work their golden magic.
Available in 50g, 100g, 250g, and 500g resealable pouches.
How to Brew: Use 1 tsp (2g) per 200ml water at 75–85°C. Steep 2–3 minutes. Never use boiling water. Serve without milk. Can be re-brewed 2–3 times.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What makes white tea the healthiest tea?
- White tea undergoes minimal processing — just withering and drying — which preserves the highest concentration of antioxidants (EGCG), catechins, and amino acids of any tea type. Studies show it has more antioxidants than green or black tea.
- What are the benefits of saffron in tea?
- Saffron contains crocin and safranal — compounds shown in research to support mood, reduce stress, promote better sleep, and benefit skin health. Combined with white tea, the effect is a genuinely calming, wellness-focused beverage.
- Should I add milk to Saffron White Tea?
- No. Milk completely masks the delicate floral-saffron notes. Drink it black, or with a very small amount of honey to enhance the floral quality.
- Why is the price higher than other teas?
- White tea is the least-processed, most carefully harvested tea category. Saffron is the world’s most expensive spice by weight. The combination justifies the premium.
- Can I re-brew the leaves?
- Yes — white tea leaves can be re-brewed 2–3 times. Later infusions are milder and increasingly sweet.
White Tea — Nature's Purest Brew
Only withering and drying. No rolling, no oxidation. The most natural form of tea, closest to the living leaf.
Because it is least processed, white tea retains the highest concentration of polyphenols of any tea type.
The most delicate of teas. Use cooler water and longer steeps (4–5 min) to coax its subtle sweetness.
White tea is harvested only in the early spring when young buds are still covered in fine white hairs.
